The Museum traces the history of the famous bar turning machine, from 1872 to the present day, through more than 50 tours.
In the heart of the industrial zone of Moutier is a building that houses witnesses to the industrial history of the town and the Grand Chasseral. This mansion (1895) belonged to Nicolas Junker, founder of the automatic lathe industry in Moutier. Today it is a museum with an important collection relating the industrialization and history of Moutier. The museum retraces the history of the famous automatic lathe from 1872 to the present day through a hundred or so automatic lathes and a rich documentation.
